Yass saleyards to be built within 12 months under a new 10-year development plan.

An eight-year construction timetable for the L.A. warehouse could be signed by the company as early as next week, the council reported, and could see it start to be constructed by late September 2013.

The site is at 2455 W. Santa Monica Blvd., just a few blocks from the Venice location of the store’s current location, the Union Square location, and adjacent to the home of a former Union City Council candidate who served on its planning commission, the council reported.

The project, which has received $14 million in funds from the L.A. Times, The Times’ owner and general contractor, had been in the works since last year, according to the Los Angeles Times.

It would be part of a larger $15 million project slated for the building at 3021 N. Orange Ave., also on Orange Street, according to the council report, whicgospelhitzh did not provide details about its specifics.
